I like that it can go from carrying water to being compact to carry empty.

I was interested in this water bottle for two reasons: it folds down to a thin disk for travel, and might be good to use for my recumbent bike rides. It appears to do the trick for both. The fold-down straw is leak-proof when closed, and provides a nice flow when open for use. The screw cap for the bottle doesn't leak either, and the lid also has a flip-up handle or clip. The bottle is very easy to clean and is made of durable silicon (silicone?). I'm happy with the purchase.

I like the product’s material and size. Is easy to collapse on itself when it’s not full. Also bought the carrying case and the clip is not made to hold a full water bottle. Which is disappointing!

When you want to bring water but don't want a heavy bottle that you have to bring back afterwards this product is the perfect answer. Made of food grade silicone it expands to hold 25 ounces of water. There are no dangerous plastics to leach into the water. It has a hands carrying handle and a fold out straw for drinking. Best of all when you are done drinking you can fold it back up and put it in your pocket! I does take a few tries to flood it up neatly, and it takes a little getting used holding a collapsible bottle. I think this would not work with a bicycling water bottle holder, but will certainly work in a cars cupholder

The Hydaway collapsible water bottle is such a good travel option if you are trying to be a minimalist or are really restricted on space. I chose the blue ice color and it looks just like the photos. While it does not fold completely flat for obvious reasons, it gets pretty close. I had no issues with this collapsible water bottle standing up on it's own while filled with water. I tried to different sizes/positions. That's another thing I love. You can be moderately thirsty and fill this halfway or you can be extra thirsty and have the bottle extended to max capacity.
The silicone seal on the lid comes off for easy cleaning and is leak proof while upright or during normal usage. I gave it to my toddler for testing, lol. The only time this bottle will leak is if you leave the straw open and tip it over. I'd still even be cautious with the straw closed too, just in case.
The collapsible bottle was easy to clean with a bottle brush and narrow straw brush, no issues there.
The only reason I can see why this wouldn't have good reviews is the handle and straw situation. That was a little tricky. You need to either open the handle only to carry it, then close it before you open the straw, or just don't rely on the handle at all unless you want to hang it with carabiner.
If both the straw and handle are open at the same time, they bump into each other and there is definitely no room for your fingers to easily close and open the straw while handle is up.
